When I see other children with their grandparents, my heart gets sore for my kids.  Grandparents are the ones who loves your child with no limits.  Both my parents and my husband’s dad have passed away. My children only have my husband’s mother – their grandmother, alive.  But she is so far away and I feel my kids miss out on that love and care, which only a grandparent can give.  I have to say I was lucky to have a person who was like their grandmother ( their Mimi)  for some time and did not think anything of it, but she also has passed away and the feelings have all came back…..

How small the world has become? I am a South African, married to a man from India and living in the USA. Small, right!!! but it has become even smaller with all the social networking sites. I have met people I would have never come across in my daily life. Some for a couple of years now and knowing some one out there with similar every day challenges , I feel supported and strong that I am not alone. Just a pick me up when I am down and also to share my joys. I am happy to get all your feedbacks, ideas on how to work with my kids and also give mine so it may help someone else. The internet has changed the world as we know of it.

Going to the pool used to a dreaded feeling for me. My daughter who is in the wheelchair is unable to swim but given the chance she shines and surprises me. See, she got into her ring and swam. Yes, she paddled with her hands and was on the other end of the pool. Shocked I was, but now I know given the opportunity she will shine. One thing is for sure that Children with Limitations are Children Without Limits.
